Ni hao,

This pic was taken the first time we bred some 20 species of
butterfly in our farm...

Everyone look so excited releasing some 100 species of butterflies
into our farm during the official handing over of butterflies. Look
at everyone's happy faces.

This is how we keep the pupa to ensure it's safety..

A few of the "Butterfly People" performing the daily checks...

This maybe the first time you have ever seen butterfly eggs. Yes,
those two dots on the leaf are butterfly eggs. Amazing isn't it??

One of the species of the butterflies in our farm.. I' m not gonna
tell you what species, you will just have to wait for the future posts...
* evil laugh

Look, a butterfly which just broke out of its cocoon... We saw this
butterfly take first flight which is the first step in its life as a butterfly.

Look, another up-close and personal pic of another species of butterfly...
Still not gonna tell which species....

Look at the many butterflies in our farm... This is only a part of it.. Have you felt
armies of butterflies fluttering around you everyday? We have...

Just another pic... Beautiful, am I right???

An-nyong Ha-se-yo,

As everyone knows so far, this section is for 3K..... But what does 3K actually stand for????... It actually stands for keceriaan, keselematan and kebersihan..... So when translated into english, it goes like this: Beautification, Safety and Cleanliness. So, we will tell you all about 3K here thus wait for our update..

Thanks for visiting our blog. This sections is for all you flora- loving fans. We will be posting many interesting and exciting stuff here. So make sure to check it out.

Guten Tag,

First of all, recycling is fun. You can play your part to save Mother Earth just by recycling. Start small by recycling cans, bottles and newspapers. Please help save the environment.

This is for all you reducers out there. Here we will update on what our school has done to reduce environmental catastrophe. You can also follow the steps that we will be sharing to an even better future.

This is just the intro for this section...
What do you understand about reuse???.... Well, it basically means reusing things that you wanted to throw away and never wanted to use again. For example, you can take an unused bottle and turn it into a watering can. Reusing is easy as 1, 2, 3....

Under the fauna section, we're gonna post mostly about.... BUTTERFLIES.... =~)
Our school SMK Dato' Onn is quite special as we have our own mini butterfly farm in the school compound. This project began somewhere in the middle of last year when some students started to wonder why so many butterflies were "visiting" the school... So, we did some research and decided that we should start a farm of our own to breed butterflies. We approached Penang Butterfly Farm who agreed to help us on the project. They taught us the skills, steps and precautions to take when it come to handling butterflies.
The Penang Butterfly Farm's officials came to our school to set up the farm. This project was a mutual benefit project because it not only benefits our school but also we are helping The Butterfly Farm to extend its   "Bring Back The Endangered Yellowbird wings" project.  Another objective of this project is the promote the cultivation of appropriate plants to breed other butterfly species. We bred few common species of butterflies during the soft- opening of our farm. Then officially Penang Butterfly Farm released about 100 adult butterflies species in our farm.
We will always update our blog to tell all you bloggers out there whats going on with our butterflies. In future posts, you will get to know some of the species of butterflies that are found in the farm.
Till then here is a link to the article on the star newspaper about our little project:

 See ya!
